First Elimination

Previously on America's Next Top Cat...

The cats learned a valuable lesson of always looking your best. Some drama unfolded between Harris and Tiger regarding a relationship with Boo. No one was sent home, and 3 remain in the hope of becoming America’s Next Top Cat.

Tonight one cat will be sent home, so performance in the photo shoot today is of extra importance.

Cats, today your photo shoot is of an intellectual theme. Top models are often stereotyped for being stupid, so this photo shoot will bring awareness that top cats can be smart too. You will each have 50 frames, 25 of which will be in the clothing, and 25 nude.

The cats share their thoughts with the camera before the photo shoot:

Harris: “I’m a little worried about being nude, especially since I’m the only boy cat. But, I understand that a top cat needs to do whatever it takes, and I’m willing to do just that.”

Boo: “I’m a little nervous for this shoot because I want to win this competition so badly. I get so much crap about being plus sized and not pure bred…I need to show the world that I can be a top model too!”

Tiger: “I’ll be honest, the only thing I’m worried about is there not being any catnip on set.

Drama in the house:

It has been brought to Boo and Harris’ attention that Tiger is taking drugs, specifically steroids. Tiger had an episode of roid rage causing Boo and Harris to question Tiger’s place in this competition. Could this affect the judges’ decision during panel? Stay tuned to find out…

Panel:

You know our prizes, a contract with one of the best modeling agencies is the entire world, Elite Cat Management, a cover and 6 page spread in Catmopolitian magazine, and a $100,000 contract with Clawnique Cosmetics.
You know our judges: Miss J Catlexander, runway diva coach extraordinaire. Nigel Pawrker, noted fashion photographer, and Pawlina Pawrizkova, legendary supermodel.

Boo, you're up first...let's see your best shot:
Pawlina: "This is a very nice shot; you definitely found the perfect angle on your face, which isn't the easiest to photograph. Great job."

Nigel: "Everything works...the tie, the shirt, the angles. Very nice."

The photographer said that she had a little trouble with you give some attitude in the beginning, but you soon stepped up to top model potential. You're film was pretty good, but it might not be good enough. You will need to step it up a bit if you survive this round of the competition.

Boo: "Thank you"

Tiger, you're up...let's see your best shot:

Pawlina: "I really like how you interacted with the props in this shot, it makes it really interesting and definitely gets the point of the shoot across."

Nigel: "I'm very surprised that you came through with an amazing shot...very, very nice."

Tiger, your film was great. The nude shots were fantastic, but the clothes ones were just mediocre. As a top cat, you need to be able to do both. The photographer commented on your enthusiasm on set...she was very impressed with you.

Harris, let's see your best shot:
Pawlina: "Wow, this is very good. I like the way you put your body over the book...it really works."

Nigel: "Every week you deliver a fantastic photo, and you've done it again."

Harris, your film blew me away. Both your nude and clothed shots were great, and I even had a hard time picking a favorite.

Harris: "Thanks"

As you know, tonight will be the first elimination. You all did a great job in this shoot, so the decision made tonight will be a very difficult one. You all have the potential to be a top cat. When I call you back I will announce which one of you will not continue on in the hope of becoming America's Next Top Cat.

Elimination:

I have 3 absolutely beautiful cats standing in front of me, but I only have 2 photos in my paws. And these photos represent to 2 of you that are still in the running toward becoming America's Next Top Cat.
The first name I'm going to call:

.....
....

Harris.
Congratulations, you're still in the running in becoming America's Next Top cat.

Harris: "Thank you so much!!!"

Will Boo and Tiger please step forward.

I only have one photo in my paws, and this photo represents the cat who will still be in the running toward becoming America's Next Top Cat. The cat that I do not call, must immediately return to your loft, pack your litter, and go home.

Tiger, you walked in here and all the judges said wow, what an amazing beautiful cat. But the judges have seen something else, a cat who can perform, but only on her own terms.
And Boo, you sit in front of me and you're absolutely beautiful...but sometimes that doesn't translate into film. These judges behind me aren't sure if you can consistently deliver a photo at the right angle for your body type.

....pulls out photo....

Boo, I think you can do it. Congratulations, you're still in the running toward becoming America's Next Top Cat.

Tiger, you have the potential, but the judges just didn't think you wanted it badly enough. You're a great model, and I'm sure you can go far with it if you just keep trying.

Tiger: "I'm a little upset about going home, but I'm not sure being a top cat was the thing for me. I hope Boo wins the competition because Harris is a *#$&#"

Stay tuned for our next episode...who will become America's Next Top Cat??

Always be on top

Previously on America's Next Top Cat...

Tiger was added to the competition making the photo shoot more intense. The three cats faced off in an Easter photo shoot- all getting praise from the judges. No one has been eliminated, and the question still remains...who will be America's Next Top Cat??

Drama in the house:

Although previously kept secret, Boo and Tiger have a long history that dates well before appearing on America's Next Top Cat. They have been in a committed lesbian relationship for around 14 years. Tiger, being a new contestant on America's Next Top Cat, was NOT happy to see that Boo and Harris' relationship is, well, a little friendly.

Boo: "I've been with Tiger for pretty much my whole life, but what she doesn't realize is that before I had her I was with a boy Siamese. That's right, I haven't always been a lesbian. I mean, I love Tiger and everything but I don't see what's wrong with wanting to experiment with someone else."
Tiger's statement can't be published due to the amount of profanity in it.

Cats, instead of a traditional photo shoot this week, you will be tested on a very valuable lesson in becoming a top cat. You must always look your best, no matter what the occasion. You never know when the paparazzi will be lurking around the corner to snap an unflattering shot of you in a swim suit.
So this week, we had the paparazzi follow you for a couple of days. Instead of being judged on your best photo, you will be judged on your worst.
Tiger, you're up first.

Pawlina: "It's not quite as bad as I expected. You should know better than to walk around with your mouth open...that's not top cat behavior."

Nigel: "It could be worse."

Tiger: "Thanks."

Harris, you're up. Let's see your worst shot:

Pawlina: "...What were you even doing? You knew the paparazzi was around..."

Harris: "I didn't like that thing on my neck. It had to come off, and my lack of opposable thumbs makes that difficult sometimes."

Nigel: "As a top cat, you will be asked to be dressed in uncomfortable things, and you are going to have to just deal with it."

Boo, it's your turn for judging. Let's see your worst shot:

The judges are speechless.

I hope the three of you have learned a very important lesson today, always keep your guard up...especially you, Boo.

No one will have to pack their litter and go home tonight, so the competition is still on. Who will become...America's Next Top Cat??

Easter

Previously on America's Next Top Cat...

Boo and Harris faced off in a fierce "Happy Birthday" photo shoot. Harris got the best critique but it was too early in the competition to eliminate either of them so the competition continues...

The judges at America's Next Top Cat have decided to add another player to the game. Let's see who they have chosen to compete for the title of "America's Next Top Cat"

Tiger- A Calico Domestic Shorthair from Rapid City, South Dakota thinks she has what it takes. "I'm not your typical girl, I do what I want, when I want and I don't answer to anyone. I think it's about time a lesbian won America's Next Top Cat, and I am here to be the first!"

To make up for missing last week's photo shoot, Tiger was given the opportunity to take a beauty shot to be added to the judging this evening.

This week you had an "Easter" photo shoot.
Boo, let's see your best shot:

Nigel: "I've got to say, you really performed this week. You emotionally connected with the camera, and that is something that a top cat model needs to be able to do. "

Pawlina: "This is definitely a big improvement. You learned your angles this week which is essential. Good work."

Boo, your film this week so good that I had trouble picking your best shot. You tried different things and made them work. The photographer commented that you started off slow and uncooperative, but later on became a top model.

Tiger, you're up next. Let's see your best shot...

Pawlina: "This is an interesting shot, but I'm not sure it fits with the theme. What were you thinking about during the shoot?"

Tiger: "I was going for a hopping bunny rabbit."

Pawlina: "Ok, I can see that..."

Nigel: "I like how you decided to go for a motion shot for this, it makes it different from the others...it stands out."

Tiger, although this shot is nice, your film was not. The photographer was only able to capture three frames with you. As a model, you need to be done when the photographer is, not when you want to be. This makes the judges wonder whether or not you have what it takes...Let's see if you did a good job on your beauty shot:

Miss J Catlexander: "This is fabulous, you know how to work it girl!"

Pawlina: "You have a great face for close up beauty shots, I think you just need to improve on your angles."

These shots were very nice, and they just might save you. You need to work on the attitude because photographers aren't going to want to shoot a model with an attitude. You have a lot of potential, don't let it go to waste.

Tiger: "Thanks, I'll work on that. "

Last up, Harris. Let's see your best shot:

Pawlina: "It's nice, but it's a little 'deer in the headlights' if you see what I mean."

Nigel: "You have an amazing face for high fashion and you know how to use it. You've done it once again."

Harris, I really like how you went for the "sweet and innocent" look...you really pulled it off. The photographer said you were easy to work with, but you kept trying to get into Boo's pictures during her shoot. You need to learn that you can't be in every photo and you need to follow directions. I'm sure Boo didn't appreciate you trying to steal her frames.

Harris: "Thank you, and I apologize for that."

It is still too early to tell who will become America's Next Top Cat, but one of you will eventually have to pack your litter and go home. Until then....who will be...America's Next Top Cat??

Photo Shoot

Today was your photo shoot with a "Happy Birthday" theme.

Boo, you're up first, let's see your best shot:

Pawlina: "I think you could have done a lot more with this shot...you don't look happy to be there."

Nigel: "There's something missing in your eyes...you just aren't communicating with the camera, which is very important."

Boo, I'm a little confused by your performance during this photo shoot. You're film wasn't very good. You need to make sure you smile with your eyes, because if your eyes are lost, your whole face gets lost. There also seems to be a lack of passion for modeling this week.

Boo: "Thank you, and I just want you all to know that modeling is my dream and my passion, and I promise I'll do better on my next photo shoot."

Harris, you're up next. Let's see your best shot:

Pawlina: "The face is very strong in this shot, and I really like how you are interacting with the props. Great job."

Nigel: "You were fantastic on set, had a great attitude, and delivered a great picture. Stunning."

Miss J: "I can really see that passion, girl!"

Harris, your film blew me away. You did so many different poses and facial expressions that I had a hard time choosing which one I liked best. This is your best week by far, and I hope these performances are more than just a fluke. You have the potential to become a Top Cat.

Harris: "Thank You"

It is too early to tell who will become America's Next Top Cat, but one of you will eventually have to pack your litter and go home. Until then....who will be...America's Next Top Cat??

America's Next Top Cat

We have searched the country for normal cats who could be turned into the next Top Cat. It takes hard work, determination, and passion for the modeling industry to make it. I have narrowed it down to two cats who will battle it out for the title of....America's Next Top Cat.

Harris-A 2 year old Maine Coon from Dayton, Ohio thinks he has was it takes. "I know it takes a lot of work and everything, but just imagine all the fishies I would have if I was America's Next Top Cat!!!!"

Boo-A 15 year old Siamese from Grand Forks, North Dakota thinks that it's time that a traditional plus-size Siamese won the competition. "Whenever you flip through all the fashion magazines, you never see any Siamese's that look normal...they are all size 0's and have the really skinny faces. I just want all the plus size Siamese and regular cats to know that it's OK to have a little extra!"

You know the prizes, a contract with one of the best modeling agencies in the world, Elite Cat Management, a cover and 6 page spread in Catmopolitian magazine, and a $100,000 contract with Clawnique Cosmetics.
